Budget Information
At the March 14, 2026 Annual Town Meeting, voters approved the Town and School Department Fiscal Year 2027 balanced operating budget. Town Meeting also approved an FY2027 operational budget override that was subsequently placed before voters at the March 28, 2026 Town Election and passed.
Following the Town Election, the School Department began implementing the FY2027 operating budget within the approved appropriation. As a result of the successful override, budget elements contingent on its passage were implemented, including universal full-day kindergarten beginning in the 2026–2027 school year.
The School Department appreciates the community’s engagement throughout the FY2027 budget process and its continued support of Duxbury Public Schools.
Capital projects that are moving forward during the 2026-2027 school year include:
Chromebooks for Grades 6-12 (Year 3 of 4 year lease)
Staff device refresh (Year 1 of 5 year lease)
Roof repairs
HVAC repairs
Alden School feasibility study
