The Duxbury High School Cheerleading Team captured the Patriot League Championship in impressive fashion this week, earning a first-place score of 90.1 and solidifying their place among the league’s elite programs.
Competing against some of the strongest teams in the state, Duxbury delivered a dynamic and polished routine that showcased the team’s athleticism, precision, and energy. From sharp motions and synchronized tumbling passes to confident stunts and spirited crowd engagement, the Dragons left little doubt that they deserved the title.
The 90.1 score reflects not only technical execution but also the hours of preparation and attention to detail that went into the performance. Cheer competitions are judged across multiple categories including difficulty, synchronization, transitions, crowd-leading ability, and overall presentation — and Duxbury excelled in each phase.
The Patriot League title is a testament to the athletes’ commitment throughout the season. Long and challenging practices, weekend competitions, and a relentless focus on improvement have been the foundation of their success. Their ability to peak at the right time speaks volumes about the team’s leadership and coaching.
With the league championship secured, Duxbury now turns its attention to the postseason. The Dragons will compete at Regionals on Sunday, March 1 at Scituate High School, looking to carry their momentum forward and earn a spot at the next level of competition.
If their Patriot League performance is any indication, Duxbury will enter Regionals with confidence, composure, and the belief that their best routine is still ahead of them.
Congratulations to the Duxbury Cheer team on a tremendous league championship — and best of luck as they continue their postseason run.
