Celebrating our Retirees 💫
Mary Powers loves Kindergarten! She retires as a Kindergarten Assistant after 22 years at Chandler School. During her career, Mrs. Powers has had the pleasure of working with three wonderful kindergarten teachers and 444 children (she’s done the math!) She has saved the class pictures from all 22 years, and every June, she compares the Kindergarten students she once knew with their graduation pictures in the Duxbury Clipper. “Every year, I feel so proud of how much the children learned and changed.” Mrs. Powers will miss meeting a brand new group of children every September and her colleagues will miss her steady presence and willingness to help, not to mention her famous Chex Mix and gingerbread. Mrs. Powers, enjoy your well-deserved retirement! 💚
