Would you like an opportunity to know more about the basics of car maintenance and feeling comfortable around working on your vehicle? Join Dave Collins for this one night workshop where you will get a dashboard warning lights overview, learn some signs of battery, brake, or tire problems, where you should check first if your car won't start, and things you may be able to do yourself and when you should call a mechanic instead. We will have a question and answer period at the end where students are encouraged to ask questions about their own vehicles.

In this one night workshop, you'll learn the basics about your car's engine (gasoline, diesel, hybrid, full electric) and the pros and cons between them. We'll talk about transmission types and drivetrain types. Students will learn about the electrical systems (battery, alternator) in their vehicle and be shown how to properly jump start a car. The instructor will also review the cooling system, brakes and suspension, and the different types of diagnostics that are performed on a vehicle when problems occur.
