MCAS

MCAS results for the spring of 2025 have been released to the public.

MCAS results for the District and Schools, including Accountability reports, are available on the DESE website in School Profiles under the assessment table.

Accountability classifications are determined through data in:

  • Achievement on MCAS

  • Growth on MCAS

  • High School Completion

  • Progress towards attaining English Language proficiency

  • Additional indicators: chronic absenteeism and advanced coursework completion

The  2025 Accountability classifications for Duxbury are:

District

Substantial Progress Towards Targets

Duxbury High School

Meeting or Exceeding Targets

Duxbury Middle School

Substantial Progress Towards Targets

Alden School

Meeting or Exceeding Targets

The district utilizes multiple data sources, including MA State Assessment results to measure student growth in learning. The successful passing of MCAS no longer serves as the Commonwealth of Massachusetts’ requirement for graduation. As a result, individual districts were required to create Competency Determinations under 603 CMR 30: Standards for Competency Determination and Local Graduation Requirements. As of November 5, 2025, Duxbury Public Schools’ Competency Determination can be found in School Committee Policy IKFE: Competency Determination

IKFE - DETERMINACIÓN DE COMPETENCIAS - Spanish

IKFE - DETERMINAÇÃO DE COMPETÊNCIAS - Portuguese

IKFE - د وړتیا ټاکل - Pashto

IKFE - DETÈMINASYON KONPETANS - Haitian Creole

The 2025 MCAS presentation will take place at the November 19, 2025, School Committee Meeting. Links will be updated then.
