A very special Thank You to Gerri Hahesy and her husband Paul, for their tireless efforts on bringing our Pond area to life! Mrs. Hahesy, a long-time first grade teacher here at Chandler School, now retired, once again brought her dedication to educate children to help create the beautiful landscape that now surrounds our pond. Thank you, Gerri!
Thanks also to DCGC club president, Megan McClure Koss, for helping realize this project, as well as Heather Sapia, Mary Ott, and Nancy Lowe O’Connor for donating plants, Laura Smith for reaching out to the DHS outdoor learning center participants, Chelsie Olney for bringing her Brownie troop to help, our Chandler teachers, and to all our Chandler student helpers (nearly 50!) who came to help beautify this space on a cool October day. We are fortunate to have such an enthusiastic and caring school community!
