Teachers will be making course recommendations March 18-25 for currents Grades 6-8.
Students will sign into Aspen March 26- April 3 using their student username and password.
Parent login accounts will not work for course selection.
February 27 6pm: Course Selection Night for parents/guardians of 8th graders
The Week of March 11: Guidance Counselors will hold course selection presentations for their students during the school day.
March 20 6:30pm: Course Selection Night for parents/guardians of 6th and 7th graders
March 26 - April 3: All current 6-8 graders must input their course selections via the Aspen Portal using your student login information.
April 3: The Aspen Portal will close after this date and you will no longer be able to made any additions or changes to your course selections.
April 12: All placement review requests are due and the online link will be taken down after the 12th.Requests for placement reviews must be submitted online between March 26-April 12. The online link will be removed after April 12.
Placement Review Process for Current 6th and 7th graders:
In order to override a teacher's recommended level, you must fill out the placement review form using this online link . The link will disappear after April 12 so you have to do this within the timeframe (March 26-April 12).
If a level disparity between teacher recommendation and family choice occurs:
First, speak with the teacher.
If you wish to proceed with the level change, request a placement review through the link on the school website by April 12th.
The Subject Supervisor may contact you to discuss.
Subject Supervisors contact Guidance Counselors with placement changes. After that time, the guidance counselors make the changes in Aspen.
If you are not contacted, your request was approved.
Please know that all math recommendations will be reviewed by your teachers again in June so how you finish out the school year makes a difference.
