    Frontiers- The WPI Pre-College Experience: Summer 2019 opportunity! Frontiers offers two weeks of hands-on classes and labs, plus an exploration of the humanities for students currently in 10th or 11th grade.  Experience college life first hand and explore the limits of knowledge in science, technology, engineering, and math for a challenging, memorable experience. You also have the opportunity to study art, theatre, writing, history or the environment to enhance your individual perspective and become a well-rounded inovator and leader.     Summer STEM Day at WPI: The LAUNCH program at Worcester Polytechnic Institute for 9th and 10th graders, leverage state-of-the-art research and technology to find solutions to current problems in a variety of scientific fields alongside WPI’s renowned faculty. Academic program hours are from 9 am to 4 pm, Monday through Friday.  Students have the opportunity to access a number of different subjects, such as Biochemistry, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Engineering, Robotics, and more.     Coastal Ocean Science Academy: A marine science summer day program that aims to introduce and connect young people to local marine and coastal habitats and the factors that shape them. The program is sponsored by Northeastern University and is based at their campus in Nahant, but includes off-site field trips to field locations both on and off the water.
