Alden's Kids Care Club
The Kids Care Club's mission is to develop compassion and inspire a spirit of volunteering at Alden School by implementing meaningful, hands-on service projects. We hope the students will learn to take action that changes the world and themselves through service.
By educating the kids about community issues, we hope to help develop compassion and social responsiblity resulting in a life-long commitment to community service. Our goal is to have fun while making a positive impact on the community.
Past initiatives include a project to raise awareness of Juvenile Diabetes with a food drive for the Duxbury Lion's Club Food Pantry and a clothing/shoe drive for Cradles to Crayons.
All students are invited to particpate in Kids Care Club. There is no fee to participate in Kids Care Club. Meetings are held after school at 2 PM in the Alden Cafeteria. Volunteers will provide a community service activity for the kids to work on together. A snack and drink will be provided at the meeting. If your child has a food allergy, please pack his/her own snack as snacks served may not be allergen-free. Pick-up is at 3 PM by a parent or guardian.* Students must bring in a permission slip and a written dismissal note to attend.
We are looking for volunteers with fun, interesting ideas to help with Kids Care Club! If you are interested, please contact Missy Magner (firstname.lastname@example.org).
