About The Teacher
I grew up in Mission Hills, Kansas. I attended The University of Kansas, Go Jayhawks, and hold
a BS in elementary education with a minor in Special Education. My husband also grew up in
Kansas City and all of our extended family still reside in that area. I have lived in Duxbury for
31 years. I have two sons, Ben age 36 and Matthew age 33. Both of my sons attended school
in Duxbury and were very active in the football and lacrosse programs before attending Yale.
I have a 10 year old black lab, Mabel.
I have 5 grandchildren, Francie 5, Sophie 3 1/2, Charlie 3, Annie 6 months, and Lucy 1 week. The are the light of my life.
In my free time I enjoy taking walks, riding my bike and reading at the beach. I spend
much of my vacation time at our cabin in New Hampshire. I am an avid Red Sox and Patriots fan.
Teaching is my passion and I consider it an honor to be a member of this profession.
Teaching is what I am rather than what I do.
