Magic Dragon is open from 7:15 am - 5 pm Monday through Friday. We follow the Duxbury Public School calendar, any exceptions will be noted on the Magic Dragon calendar provided to families. We are closed during school vacation weeks and the summer.

Our registration fee is $45 for new families and $35 for current families and Town of Duxbury employees.
We provide a developmentally appropriate program for children ages 8 weeks through 5 years from Duxbury and the surrounding South Shore communities.
Applications for currently enrolled families and Town of Duxbury employees are processed in January for the coming school year. New families are invited to apply starting in February.
We will admit new children throughout the year if space is available.

Magic Dragon Children's Center operates under the auspices of the Duxbury Public Schools and is license-exempt in the state of Massachusetts. The program is voluntarily in compliance with the state licensing requirements (EEC Standards) and is a Level One QRIS (Quality Rating and Improvement System) participant in the Massachusetts Deparment of Early Education and Care.
We are located in the early childhood wing of the Chandler School. We are fortunate to have access to support services within the school system, such as the school nurse, psychologists, speach therapists and other specialists.

The tuition schedule is established and revised yearly to reflect actual operating costs. Tuition within each category is based on the age of the child, staffing ratios and the length and number of days selected.
We are self supporting, relying on funding from tuition revenues. An active Advisory Board supplements our budget with fund raising efforts.
Tuition payments for both new and returning families will be paid in 10 monthly installments. Your 1st payment must be paid by May 31 and represents the tuition payment for June of the coming year. Tuition is due on the first of each month.
If a child is admitted at any other time of the year, the tuition deposit must accommodate the first tuition payment.
A 10% sibling discount is available to families with two children at the Center. The 10% discount is applied to the child with the lesser annual tuition. Families with three children at the Center will have a 15% discount applied to the child with the lowest annual tuition and a 10% discount applied to the child with the next lowest annual tuition.
A parent or guardian is expected to enroll a child at the start of the school year or when available space is offered to them. If they choose to delay enrollment (maternity leave, unborn child, etc.) one half of the tuition is due on the reserved space and must be paid to secure the spot.
