    This child-care safety education program teaches new and “seasoned” babysitters information on child development and practical child–care skills, basic first aid and how to handle emergencies, and the characteristics and responsibilities of a successful sitter.   Min. 10 - Max 25

     CPR FOR BABYSITTERS /AGES 11 ½ & UP

     

    This American Heart Association CPR teaches skills in CPR and relief of FBAO (Foreign Body Airway 0bstruction) in a responsive victim. The course presents information about the pediatric “Chain of Survival”, signs of choking in infants and children, prevention of the most common fatal pediatric injuries, and reduction in the risk of sudden infant death syndrome.

    INSTRUCTOR: BETTE ANTONELLIS is a licensed practical nurse and a health educator for the Jordan Hospital. She teaches a variety of health education classes throughout the community.
