DPS School Resource Officers

Duxbury Public Schools has two full-time School Resource Officers (SROs), one on each campus. Our SROs are responsible for the safety and security of all schools and are a positive presence in and around our school campuses. They work closely with school administrators to support our student's safety and well-being. In their role, they serve as a mentor, role model, educator, and liaison between Duxbury Public Schools and the Duxbury Police Department. They will also collaborate with school principals on matters that may require support and intervention beyond the purview of a building administrator.

Our SROs provide age-appropriate classroom education on topics including safety programs, bullying, violence diffusion, social media safety, alcohol education, and drug prevention. They are available to students, families, and staff by telephone, email, or in person.
