• Covid-19 At Home Symptom Checklist

The single most important thing to do if any of the following symptoms are present is to stay home.  Some symptoms of COVID-19 are the same as the flu or a bad cold, please do not assume it is another condition. When in doubt, stay home.

Below is a list of symptoms for which caregivers should monitor their children daily:

    • Fever (>100.0 Fahrenheit or higher ), chills, shaking chills
    • Cough (not due to other known cause, such as a chronic cough)
    • Difficulty breathing or shortness of breath
    • New loss of smell or taste
    • Sore throat
    • Headache (when in combination of other symptoms)
    • Muscle aches or body aches
    • Nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea
    • Fatigue (when in combination of other symptoms)
    • Nasal congestion or runny nose (not due to other causes such as seasonal allergies) when in combination with other symptoms
    • If your child has had close contact with a COVID-19 case they cannot go to school.  Contact your school nurse and follow-up with your Primary Care Provider (PCP) before returning to school.  Current Massachusetts DPH guidance is that all close contacts of someone who has tested positive for COVID-19 should be tested.

      * **Please stay home if you have any of the symptoms listed above***
