• Here is some information that I hope is helpful!

    • Snack:  Please send in one healthy snack and drink each day that is packed seperately from his or her lunch.  Include needed utentils, please.  Keep in mind that students only have 10 minutes or so for snack.
    • Headphones:  Students will have opportunites to use IPads in the classroom to work on literacy and math concepts.  Please send a pair of headphones (IPad compatible, labeled, over the ear vs. earbuds are best) to remain at school for the year.  

    • Labels:  Please remember to label all items brought to school with your child's name (i.e. lunch box, sweatshirts, outdoor gear).  I encourage toys to remain at home.
    • Weather:  Please be mindful that we will be going outdoors often throughout the year.  It can be chilly in the mornings so please dress your child accordingly.

    • Communication:  Please contact me if you have any questions or concerns throughout the year.  The best way to reach me is through email (hferreira@duxbury.k12.ma.us).  I check my email frequently and typically am able to respond within 24 hours if not sooner.  However, if you have an issue that is an emergency or time sensitive, please contact the main office.  

    • Dismissal:  If there will be a change in your child's typical dismissal schedule, I ask that you do not email this information.  Rather, please send a note in your child's green folder or contact the main office.

    • Bus riders:  If your child rides the bus, please attach his or her bus ticket to the outside of his or her backpack.

    • Library:  We have library on Fridays.  Each student is able to bring home one book for the week.  Please have your child return his or her book on or before Friday so that he or she is able to check out a new one.
