String Ensemble

String Ensemble is an advanced music performance course. Students are required to maintain a high level of skill on their instrument as the group will play 4-6 grade levels of literature, which is the most advanced music (College or Professional Level). Weekly private lessons and an entrance audition in April are required.

  • You may eat/drink only prior to rehearsal
  • You must throw away all trash or there will be no drinks allowed at all

  • There is no chewing gum, food, or cell phones allowed in class.

Grading:

  • 60% is based on daily assessment: effort, playing of music, attitude and participation
  • 30% is based on playing checks of the rehearsal music and quizzes
  • 10% is based on performance in the concert
